Shannon O'Kane

Shannon O'Kane's art is an exploration of her awe and reverence for nature and the Irish landscape, interweaved with her love of Irish folklore and mythology. As a traditional artist she loves working in the mediums of pen and ink, as well as watercolours and acrylic paints.  In addition to her mythical and nature inspired art she also enjoys painting portraits.

She grew up in the countryside of County Derry in a place steeped in folklore and legend and littered with relics of Ireland's pagan past; as you will soon see, Shannon has woven these elements into the very essence of her artwork. The history, and the stories, and the untamed nature of the landscape have left and continue to leave an indelible impression on her.
